This is a simple encode of the Blu-rays for the Ashita no Joe 4K Remaster with audio censorship replaced. Compared to the first upload, I've updated it to use the mono audio from [akeyl] and include the subtitle fonts. If you want to use the knowledge below to make your own, more perfected encode, as opposed to my rather basic one, be my guest; any love this show gets is appreciated. I'm not a scene encoder or anything, and just whipped this up because I want to have the show in HD without any censorship and share it with my friends. Note that while it says “4K Remaster” on the tin, it’s a 1080p downscale on the discs, much like the 4K remaster for Cardcaptor Sakura. #### Context regarding the audio: Back in 2021, Ashita no Joe received a remaster that aired on WOWOW (this is the source used for the popular [OWO] and [akeyl] releases). Being for TV, it contains some censorship in accordance with Japanese TV standards; the word “kichigai” is muted and flashing or very bright scenes are darkened. BDs came out in 2023, and naturally don’t have this problem as they aren’t for TV. However, presumably due to copyright issues, in many scenes where famous songs are sung, the vocal track is muted with only the BGM playing, or in a couple of cases the song is replaced. This particular censorship does not exist in the WOWOW version of the show. Therefore, in this release, to present a more ideal experience which has neither forms of censorship, in episodes where the audio is censored on the BDs, I have replaced it with the mono audio track from [akeyl], with one exception in episode 40, where the DVD audio from [Saizen-HnG] has been used instead, due to [OWO] and [akeyl] missing a couple of seconds at the beginning of the episode. The episodes where I have found this happening and replaced the audio are episodes 12, 40, 53, 66, 67, 69, and 72.
