Adapted from the HorribleSubs release, we're going back to anime after the horrible event with OOO. Changelog: - Eastern name order used. - "Shirogane" changed to "President" when she calls him that. - Honoraries restored. - Title changed from "Kaguya-sama: Love is War" to "Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai" - "Mr. Weed" changed to "Weed-kun" - "lunch" changed to "bento" Once again, if you don't like, don't watch. It's not my job to answer every childish complaint about "I don't like honoraries!!". Versions exist without them, and there are people who prefer it like this. Deal with it. Thanks a lot to HorribleSubs for translating this! Once again, your release is fine but some people prefer it with the changes made. We still don't know how to make those 34DGDR34 things at the end of releases so this one doesn't have one. Finally, our QC, AldeZ, is sick so he was unable to work on this and as such there may be grammatical errors, though there shouldn't be. Enjoy.

Shhh, don't tell him.
Those numbers are called crc which is used to check the file whether it's corrected downloaded correctly or not. If I remember correctly someone explained this in previous release of yours Use [rapid crc](http://rapidcrc.sourceforge.net/download.html)

They said what it was but they didn't say how to make one. Thank you!
same Thanks HorribleSubs.
They don't know PepeLaugh
Why not Erai-raws, they do a far better job with their subtitles (^:
>Thanks a lot to HorribleSubs for translating this! kek >Once again, your release is fine KEK >We still don’t know how to make those 34DGDR34 things at the end of releases so this one doesn’t have one. Please lrn2crc. Also learn search-fu. >Honoraries restored. I don't believe that's the word you're looking for, so that makes me worried about your uhh..."corrections" even more. Good popcorn upload though, always a blast.

I was unaware of that group, and I'm sure it doesn't matter since they're all basically the same meaning.
>I was unaware of that group, and I’m sure it doesn’t matter since they’re all basically the same meaning. You're far more correct in stating that than you even realise, OP.

Wait, is HorribleSubs bad or something? My weeb skills didn't detect anything wrong but if there's that much reaction to it I could always use another group for the next episode.
"HorribleSubs for translating this! " > O kawaii koto > Honoraries huh, I don't remember Shirogane being awarded with knighthood and then losing it. Is that from some doujin or something??
Thank god the honoraries are restored as is rightful

RamenSub, I think you're joking but honoraries are the things at the end of Japanese names that you use to show respect/disrespect. Example is -san, for someone in a higher position, -chan for close people, friends or siblings, -senpai for your seniors and -sensei for teachers/doctors. Oh, and of course -sama for people of a high authority, or your master/mistress, hence why Hayasaka, Kaguya's servant, calls her that. Also, do check out the official Kaguya-sama Doujin! It's very good, and you can find it on KissManga.
I am like 80% sure that this is a false flag.
>RamenSub, I think you’re joking but honoraries are the things at the end of Japanese names that you use to show respect/disrespect. No, they're not, which you would know if you understood English. Three people in this thread have already mocked you over it. >KissManga Keep digging that hole, boy.
These subs are shit anyway. http://screenshotcomparison.com/comparison/130739 http://screenshotcomparison.com/comparison/131811 https://i.imgur.com/Dmb76gO.png Transcribed Wakanim works way better.
This is a tragedy in the making, very adorbs
Look I can't watch this dumpster fire go on any longer, the word you're looking for is honorifics, not honoraries. Also HorribleSubs and Erai-Raws use the same translation because neither of them are fucking translation groups, they just rip subs from legal sources. How this meme is still not dead I struggle to understand.
> Thanks a lot to HorribleSubs for translating this This alone make the release 250% worth the download. kek.
Aw, TheDustyForest ruined all the fun. :(

Oh, I see. Thank you.
TheDustyForest, bless your soul my dude. no bulli pls

@Kamiyan93 We did say our QC was sick @TheDustyForest HorribleSubs say on their FAQ that they don't do that.
NeesanLovesYou, their FAQ is a troll.
Imagine using official subs for Kaguya LMAO

That's a bit stupid isn't it then? Who in their right mind would create a page designed to answer questions and be misleading on it? What fools.
Because it's funny.
#7 and #8 in their FAQ used to not be crossed out, but they did end up fansubbing exactly one episode of SAO in the middle because the official simulcast was delayed. The simple fact that it's crossed out and not completely absent in their FAQ was the hint to you that it's sarcasm.
>HorribleSubs say on their FAQ that they don’t do that. Imagine ignoring that same page where it clearly states between the lines that they're officialsubs rippers. I wish people actually understood how to read. Then again, I guess I shouldn't expect people who detranslate shows to know how to read. EDIT: To at least try and be constructive so Koalabala doesn't scold me: Have you considered actually trying to sub something that NEEDS it? There's dozens of releases out there that never received any subs at all. Surely your mastery of the Japanese language would be better served translating those works, rather than neutering the efforts of others in some sort of misguided notion of language elitism.
Or, long story short: HS has an idiot test and you passed with flying colours.

Ah alright, I have autism so I'm slow to pick up on things like that. @JackTrade I don't speak Japanese fully, I only know some weeb words. I could ask my friend who speaks it.
>I don’t speak Japanese fully, I only know some weeb words. I could ask my friend who speaks it. So you're an actual weeaboo? Why exactly do you insist on detranslating releases for no reason? >Ah alright, I have autism so I’m slow to pick up on things like that. So does everyone else on this website with an avatar, but you don't see us using it as an excuse. EDIT: Shit, can't forget herkz.
JackTrade, give it a rest. You answered your own question. He un-translates releases because he's a weeaboo.

I am a proud weeaboo. And I prefer series in a certain way, that I think everyone else over-localises. There are concepts in the Japanese language that cannot be expressed in full capacity with a single word, if any at all, and instead of adapting such words and losing part of the meaning, it's better to keep it in the Japanese. Additionally, some words are changed completely. For example, Kaguya says "Kaicho" meaning "President", but the subs show it as "Shirogane", which she doesn't say at all. It's plain incorrect. Honorifics contain a special meaning with each of them, removing them is the highest crime. For example, if I called someone Shiro-san, that means I respected them. If I called them Shiro-chan, I'd be close to them, and if I called them Shiro-kun I would look down on them. All three of these would be rendered as "Shiro", but they each contain innate different meanings.
>JackTrade, give it a rest. You answered your own question. He un-translates releases because he’s a weeaboo. Sad face, but will comply. You win this round, etiquette.

>Honorifics contain a special meaning with each of them, removing them is the highest crime. It's a shame that Japanese is the only language that has any way to convey polite speech, isn't it?
>For example, if I called someone Shiro-san, that means I respected them. If I called them Shiro-chan, I’d be close to them, and if I called them Shiro-kun I would look down on them. All three of these would be rendered as “Shiro”, but they each contain innate different meanings. I think I understand now better because you mentioned you have autism. This is not to attack you, and I don't agree with you here, but I understand why you'd prefer honorifics: you're unable to pick up on the same meaning from context because your understanding of language and human interaction in general is unable to pick up on this. So I think it's okay if we stop beating this dead horse.

Yes. Please may I just release these in peace.
That reddit screencap was the biggest cringe part of this thread tbh fam
Just let people enjoy their honorarities in peace
>you're unable to pick up on the same meaning from context *blocks your path* https://imgur.com/a/ioqC8Pq
>I am like 80% sure that this is a false flag. same
Obligatory piling on the 737 Max 8 that is this crashing plane of a thread.
I wouldn't be surprise if he actually refer to his teacher as "Hello teacher" instead of "Hello Mr/Mrs ABC" IRL. > Ah alright, I have autism so I’m slow to pick up on things like that. This alone prove his innocent.
Thanks for the Weed-kun.
dammit nyaa comment sections are one-sided battlezones
I miss you, Nee-san. ![slayer of localizers](https://i.imgur.com/j4iD8Cd.png)
