![An Archdemon's Dilemma - S01E01 Title](https://i.imgur.com/1JQ5tWr.jpg) A dual-audio remux of Crunchyroll video and audio with [Chihiro](https://nyaa.si/view/1801602) subs with a Signs & Songs track and Crunchyroll subs included. | **Info** | [MAL](https://myanimelist.net/anime/53434), [AniList](https://anilist.co/anime/156023), [aniDB](http://anidb.net/a17686), [Website](https://madome-anime.com/) | | ------------- |:-------------:| -----:| | **Video:** | CR WEB-DL 1080p x264 8-bit | | **Audio Track 1:** | Japanese 2.0 AAC 128 kb/s | | **Audio Track 2:** | English 2.0 AAC 128 kb/s | | **Subtitle Track 1:** | [Chihiro] Full Subtitles | | **Subtitle Track 2:** | [Chihiro] Signs & Songs | | **Subtitle Track 3:** | [Crunchyroll] Full | | **Subtitle Track 4:** | [Crunchyroll] Signs | | **Mediainfo:** | [Rentry](https://rentry.co/romux-madome-1v2/raw) | Shoutout to various [LostYears](https://nyaa.si/user/LostYears?f=0&c=1_2&q=) staff and [Discord server](https://discord.gg/F43jMEjzwR) members for making this and future releases possible, I learned a lot about source muxing, subtitle editing/timing, seedboxes, and more from them. As thanks, I want to try helping them out with some muxes so that they can focus their finite time and high efforts more on their own fansubs and popular and anticipated releases. I'm also interested in watching this show myself and want to make better, more complete mkvs for it. This is my first ever release, but I'll do my best to release future episodes in a timely manner and see it through till the end. These releases are meant for the people wanting to watch this show with [Chihiro](https://nyaa.si/user/Chihiro?f=0&c=0_0&q=Maou+no+Ore+ga+Dorei+Elf+wo+Yome+ni+Shitanda+ga+Dou+Medereba+Ii) subtitles but higher quality video and/or the English dub. I've retained Crunchyroll's subtitles if that's what you prefer, having options is nice. Any and all feedback is welcome and appreciated, I'll make the necessary fixes and adjustments for the batch at the end of the season. Fingers crossed that I've done all the steps of making a torrent correctly and that you can easily download this release. Episode 2 also dropped in dub today, I'll get it up shortly. P.S. The tag is a portmanteau (a mux, if you will) of the words "romance" and "remux". Pretty neat, huh? I've decided to use it because the two shows I'll be muxing this season are both romance anime. Unfortunately, I don't have a Nyaa account, so my releases will be anonymous, please find me by searching this tag. ![An Archdemon's Dilemma - S01E01 Eyecatcher](https://i.imgur.com/i8hNrMq.jpg)

It doesn't need to be red since the video is untouched from the source
A suggestion for future releases: If it's dual audio, set the English audio track and signs (if any) to default. People grabbing Dual audios are probably interested in the dub and get dual audio for completeness. People wanting the Japanese audio have probably already grabbed one of the many Japanese audio only versions already, which are usually also several episodes ahead. Also, thanks! Good work on this.
> but higher quality video damn lol
@Dex_Luther No, that is not how track flags are meant to work, and labeling signs as “default” absolutely breaks the flags. Please read up here: https://www.matroska.org/technical/notes.html Scroll down to Default Flag. Default flag doesn’t mean “this is played by default”. Default flag means "this is intended to be selectable by language preferences as the main track of that language. All audio is assumed to have default set to yes if there isn’t a default set for that language. For example both English and Japanese audio should have the default flag set to yes. The forced flag is intended for signs as it literally tells your player this track is intended to supplement the matching language audio track. By setting it to default, you’re telling the player that the signs track is a full subtitle track and thereby breaking all automation for track selection as intended. Any player that doesn’t abide by matroska spec for language preference settings is garbage and the end user should update to something modern that actually works as intended. Namely mpv.
Nice mux, some notes. If you are going to include all CR fonts but not all the subs, remove the extra fonts. But would be much better to include all subs as it means the release is more universal. You also included two of every font in E02. If you want more snatches on your release, include CR in the title and filename. You also included two chapter menus in this release, I noticed you fixed it in E02 but worth mentioning just in case that was a coincidence. Also only one track should be tagged as forced, You tag both Sign tracks as forced, only tag the signs track as forced if its full version is the default. Other than these minor issues looking good. I would also recommend reading https://thewiki.moe/advanced/muxing/ and using the mkvpropedit command to wipe potentially identifiable info and generate track statistics. As you include this info in your release.
